How to Play

This game is designed for a parent and child to play together. The child says the word on the flashcard out loud. The parent then clicks the checkmark if the child was correct, or the cross if they were incorrect.

As the player says a word correctly, the racing character in the game will move towards the finishing line.

Settings

Use the Settings to change the difficulty. You can choose minimum and maximum letter counts for the words.

This game was made by Tom Church. I made this game to help my son learn to read. It is a list of high-frequency words in English. These words make up 50-70% of written English texts. By memorising these words children can more easily enjoy reading.
